Changelog:
Randomill v2.3.0 is a free update for v2 users and introduces a few substantial changes and improvements throughout the plugin.
- More flexible alerts system
- Alerts can be dismissed.
- Alerts can now include clickable links that open URLs.
- Revamped tooltip system
- The tooltip system has been rewritten to substantially increase performance. Previously all tooltips were always rendered in the app, but just hidden from view until users hovered over a UI element that would show them. Now, only one tooltip is ever rendered, and the content inside dynamically changes based on the currently hovered element.
- Tooltip style has been improved for greater readability and better compatibility, especially for light themes.
- Fixed issue where various UI elements didn’t show a tooltip when they should have.
- Some tooltips have been re-written/updated for better clarity.
- Automatic update checking
- Randomill now checks for updates automatically and displays an alert if a new version is available.
- Update checking can be turned off in the settings.
- Outdated license detection
- Customers who previously bought Randomill v2 through Gumroad and haven’t migrated their license will run into license issues when first launching newer versions of Randomill.
- Randomill now detects these older license versions, informs the user of the need to migrate the license, and directs users to the license migration page instead of giving a vague license error.
If you have a previous version, it’s worth updating for the new tooltip system and resulting performance improvements alone.
Head on over the the download page to pick it up.
